I have the honour to submit for

the signification of His Majesty's pleasure the following

Ordinance entitled:-

An Ordinance to provide for the segregation and

treatment of lepers. (No. 24 of 1910.)

The customary report by the

"Attorney-General is enclosed.

There is not at present any

intention of building a Leper Asylum as it is possible

that the provision of such an establishment may not be

necessary. There is at present a small Leper Settlement

at Au Tau in the New Territories where 13 inhabitants of

the New Territories live, are supplied with rations by the

Police in the neighbouring Police Station, and go out

daily to beg. This little settlement existed at the time

the New Territories were taken over. Its inhabitants then

numbered nearly thirty. Their numbers have been thinned
